Gumbos and Etouffee

 

Made at Hebert's store from authentic Southern Louisiana recipes, this is the real stuff. Authentic dark roux based Cajun gumbo. Just heat, add rice and eat. In preparing Gumbo we start with the finest selection of ingredients available & add a blend of seasoning & cooking methods, fresh stock and roux, creating an authentic Cajun flavor. Etouffee means to smother. Start by sautéing onion, bell pepper, and seasoning. We add crawfish or shrimp and cook until tender. 

 
Always follow safe handling instructions on each of the product labels.

 

Heat on low to a temperature above 165 degrees. Serve as a soup with steamed rice.
 
Packaged in 2 lb quarts container and contains 3 servings.

The container for the gumbo can become bridle around dry ice used to keep products frozen. If the container is cracked place the product in a pot or bowl to defrost in refrigeration.
